There are three major changes and/or issues happening in the US banking sector that everyone needs to be aware of. The first is a proposed 20% increase to capital requirements for banks, the second is Basel-3 and the third is the most alarming - the amount of commercial loans that are anticipated to go into default starting in 2024.
All three of these issues will impact residential real estate as well as the home mortgage industry.
